Pine

This page describes the steps necessary to set up ePOST with pine. In the description below, userid refers to the name you chose when obtaining your certificate, and location refers to the location you chose (such as 'rice' or 'open'). Additionally, you should have successfully launched the ePOST proxy on your machine - if you have not yet launched your ePOST proxy, you can follow the instructions on the Install page.

Instructions

The first step to setting up pine is to start up pine and select Setup by typing s at the pine home screen, as is shown in the picture below.

In the dialog that shows up, select Configure by typing c and enter the following information, as is shown in the image below:

• PERSONAL-NAME: Your full name
• USER-DOMAIN: location.epostmail.org
• SMTP-SERVER: 127.0.0.1:2025/user=userid
• INBOX-PATH: {127.0.0.1:1143}INBOX

Once you have entered the information, select Exit by typing e and then confirm your changes by entering y when prompted by pine. Once you have done this, pine will save your configuration and will return to the home screen. To view your Inbox, type i.
